say it isn't so! preschool already?

How could it be?  Preschool already?  If you ask K, she wishes she would have started school "ages ago", but the time has truly come.  A few weeks ago we took K & T to an open house at the preschool we want them to go to.  We thought that by taking a look around it might inspire T to become a little interested in potty training, and would give the kids a taste of what is to come in the fall.
After asking me if she could pack a lunch to eat there, and would I please drop her off to stay, she settled on a backpack full of toys that she might need in the car.

She's more than excited to go to school.  I couldn't be prouder of her zest for life.
Monkey see, monkey do, K brought her backpack, I need one too!
I know he's carrying a sword, as he usually has something in his hand.  He said he needed it.  Perhaps he was a bit nervous? All of the accessories stayed in the car however, weapons included.
Once we were welcomed in, we visited the three year old room.  T jumped right in with these gears.
Looking so grown  up in a school chair!
K figured this magnet tool out pretty quickly, and was matching letters like crazy.  Preschool? She's got this.
T liked the building area too.  He even made a little friend and built a little city together.
Matching shapes
although he doesn't know it, he's practicing fine motor skills :)
We also visited the four year old rooms.  These animals were just calling K's name.  She sorted them on her own quickly.
The preschool uses the church gym on rainy days.  This guy just loved running up and down, and up and down.  He's gonna do well at school too.
She likes running also.
We signed them up after our tour knowing that K & T will be in great hands. They will start in their own classes in the fall. I'm sure the tears will fall that day, but just from me.  They are growing so quickly, and are both really looking forward to school.  They are going to do great! (please send little prayers that T potty trains in time).
