a valentine tea

On Valentine's Day this year I had big plans for Miss K, and Andy had father/son outing planned for T.  So I hugged and kissed my little man after a heart themed breakfast and dressing K in a cute dress and sparkly shoes.
Sporting his new V-day shirt, he is one handsome devil.
I love this little guy to the moon & back.  I knew he would have a great day filled with a trip the hardware store to touch all the hammers, and lunch with Daddy.
This is my dear friend Jen, and her beautiful daughter H.  We met them for a special Mommy/Daughter date.
K & me getting a little squeeze in as we arrived at our special valentine tea.
The venue was packed with all things pink and girlie.  I don't know who was more in heaven, Jen & I, or K & H.
Our beautiful little girls posing at one of the many photo ops spots. I hope these girls are friends forever!
There was much to keep the girls busy at our valentine tea including making fantastic and fabulous hats! K & H were so excited about the stickers, feathers and fake flowers that they had easy access too.
K placing the flowers on so very carefully.
Looking oh-so-lovely!
K admiring herself in the mirror.  Too cute!
H's turn. Just look at that beautiful smile!
Such a pretty girl.
They look like members of the red hat society just sitting on these big ol' chairs with their big ol' hats and big ol' smiles.
I just can't get enough of these two.
Here's more of the venue, the lunch buffett and more games.
H was thinking hard about which sucker she wanted to pull.

K was a winner in the sucker pull, she won a bracelet here too.
K was really thinking hard about the number of hearts in a jar for the Heart Count game.
Giving this game a go. Everyone's a winner!
Jen giving the tea cup toss a try.  Look at that intensity!
This might have been K's favorite spot of the afternoon, a manicure station! K chose a hot pink color with sparkly silver for her thumbs.
H carefully looked on as her nails were painted as well. It was so much fun to watch the girls get pampered.
And one must have pretend herbal tea at a tea party right?  Yes.  One must.

Me & K glamming it up, this might be my favorite shot of the day.
Jen making lunch plates for her & H.  There was plenty of things to choose for both moms and daughters, from chicken salad to corn dogs.  Just about everyone was happy.
We had a lovely lunch.  K just loved drinking water from this 'fancy' cup as she called it.
After lunch and some of the fashion show (all of the girls could participate if they chose too) , H & K went to decorate a little snack at the cookie bar.  Yep, there was a cookie bar in addition to the ice cream bar and the candy bar and the dessert bar.  It was a sweets heaven!
MMMmmm, chocolate fountain.  We were too full to partake, but it sure looked pretty.
Oooo, just look at these princesses!  Their dresses were huge, their make up was great, their hair was perfect and their singing was really good.  For reals. They were a lot of fun to watch.  I can't imagine what our little girls must have been thinking.
Doing a little dancing and grooving to the princess tunes that were being sung on the stage.  There may have been some singing along from the both of us as well.
K taking a turn at the wheel of prizes.  She was very happy with the nail stickers she won.
K really enjoyed the cookie she made.  She's not usually a huge sweets eater, but abandon that practice on this particular afternoon.
H having a little snack as we listened to the raffle winners.
Jen & H giving a quick smile before we packed up for home.
The final icing on the cake was actually getting a pic of K and Ariel.  K said she was her favorite princess there.
My, oh my did we have some girly girl fun at this valentine tea.  I loved spending the afternoon celebrating all things pink with my one of my besties, Jen and her sweet miracle, H.  And of course, nothing could beat just being with Miss K. She is my heart, my sweet and beautiful daughter.  Can't wait to do it all again!
