One day a few weeks ago a snow day was called in anticipation of a lot of snow, but the snow wasn't set to arrive until the afternoon. Turns out that snow did come, but much later than the weather people called for. So, we were all excited for another snow day together, and we could even go somewhere during the morning because the roads were all clear. Here's what we did on a snow day that wasn't full of the powdery white stuff.
| This cutie wanted to cuddle in our bed before we got the day started. He was still a little tired, can you tell? |
| After a little rest and an episode of Peppa Pig, we hugged and kissed Daddy goodbye as he went off to work. |
| We ran a few errands, and tried to catch some snow flurries. |
| There is a large empty mall near us that we've started to take the kids to to burn off some energy. My mom started it. Awhile back, she brought them here and gave K & T each a penny and let them toss it as far as they could, then they ran to find it and did it all again over and over. It's great exercise! There are just a few shops open and only a few mall walkers, so we just about have the place to ourselves on this day. |
| A quick brother sister hug for Mommy before they are off again. |
| Running, running, running, running. |
| There's a little playground at one end of the mall that they loved climbing all over. K 'wound down' on this orange spiral, she was so proud of herself. |
| Monkey see, monkey do, Look K, I can do it too! |
| Pretty girl. |
| Singing "Let it Go" on the stage. These guys aren't a bit shy. :) |
| Sometimes the pennies that they toss around find their way into these wishing wells. |
| Hope it comes true for you K! |
| At the end of our run/walk/penny toss, we spent a little time at this jumping place. K loved this long trampoline. |
| T spent a lot of time in this bouncy castle. |
| Getting ready to jump up to grab this gymnastic bar. He's saying, "Mommy, watch me!" |
| He did it! |
| Later T climbed up and slide down this giant slide. He has no fear. |
| K made a little friend and they jumped and jumped together. She is really good at making friends wherever we go. |
| More tricks from this guy. |
| Showing off her stuff on the balance beam. |
| She can swing too, just like T. |
We had a blast, burned off some energy and got of the house before the snow came. Win, win win.
My pal Jen let us borrow a real tent that her kids play with inside after she learned of K & T's fort building obsession. K & T loved playing in here, dragging in all sorts of their favorite toys. It was also fun to hide and watch ipad in according to K, and to hide from Daddy, T said.
| Laying low. |
| Boo! |
| and guess what, she was in there too! |
| Thanks Jen, they have had a blast playing in here! |
