Learning!

Some things we've noticed about K recently,
* She has begun to say "Oh shoo", when she's disappointed in something.  We think she means, "Oh Shoot", but we're not sure where she picked this up
*She is going up & down the stairs by herself!  She waits at the top & bottom landings however, for us to cheer for her.  Everytime.  :)
*K likes to play with other children, and talks about playing in the church nursery with the doll babies and her pals
*She weighs 25 lbs
*When she is watching tv, and a question is asked, she will answer (ex. Mickey Mouse might say,
Are you ready?  K will say 'yeah' or shake her head)
*She has been taking her Doll baby to bed with her
*She calls the blankets that we use with Tommy 'night, nights'. (Probably because we cover him with one when we feed him a bottle).  She uses one to swaddle her baby, and to play peek a boo with T.
*She continues to be a great eater and loves cheese quesadillas, raw broccoli and carrots with ranch, and is drinking a lot more water than she used to.
*She tries to takes shoes off by herself and has become interested in learning to dress herself.  We are not quite there yet.
*She folds arms for prayer and has come up with her own sign for 'amen'.
*She likes to sit on couch to watch TV (since noticing this, I'm even more careful about how much TV she watches), however, I'm grateful that her attention span is getting longer
*She continues to love bubbles, and she's noticing them everywhere, including in her milk that is in a sippy cup
*Each morning and through the day she will say someone's name and then I tell her where that person is.  She has so many people to love and some many people who love her! Including this Momma!

Some things we've noticed about T recently,
*Tummy Time is OVER!  He can be found standing, or on his knees sitting when he's playing.  We've had to turn our kitchen table chairs around to give him a new place to play while standing.
*He is standing in his crib when we go to get him after naps.
*He does not like oatmeal cereal anymore.  T prefers to feed himself.  He's still learning to do this, so I have to be sneaky and try to shove food in his mouth between his self feeds.
*He likes chopped up strawberries, cucumber, nectarines, green beans, Kix, lunchmeat, grapes and bananas.
*He has learned to clap his hands, and will do it when we yell 'Yeah' at him
*He pauses in play when he hears the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Hot Dog song
*He contines to smile incessantly, he is one cute baby!
*T now throws his pacifier and security blanket out of his crib before he goes to sleep.  Then he cries.  We go in and put it all back, and then he goes to sleep.  It has become quite a game.
*T now has 8 teeth!
*He has begun to look at books- I love that this is happening!!
*He weighs 18 lbs.
*T likes to bang on our air vents and play with the door stoppers behind the doors.  We can always hear where he is in the house!
*He is learning to use a sippy cup, right now it's filled with water.
*He doesn't seem to be afraid of much and will climb up and over just about anything in his path.
*He still doesn't like the baby pool, but seemed to enjoy swimming in deeper pool with an adult.
*He likes to swing in a swingset.
*We sure love this little one!
