Jam Packed Week

Last week was a busy but fun week!  We are making the most of this first summer together and I'm so thankful for the friends and family that spend time with us.  I try to have something for us to do everyday, I find that the day flows better when this happens.  It has been incredible to watch K & T bond with everyone, and to also watch everyone jump in to help me & the kids.  It's been quite humbling actually.  Here's our jam packed week in pictures:
On Monday, we went to my friend Tracy's house to play with her & her boys.  I am lucky to be able to teach with Tracy, she's so creative.  A couple of other teacher friends came too.  It was fun to catch up with everyone! K liked swimming with A in the kiddie pool.
K 'swimming', Tracy playing with T, A (Jill's son) getting ready to jump in the big pool.
See what great friends I have?  They took K & T swimming and I got to kick back and take pics. Tracy is holding T and Jill is with K.  Z (Tracy's son) is on the left.  The kids loved this big pool as long as they were being held close.  We finished the afternoon with pizza and snacks and headed home for naptime.  Thank you Tracy!!!
On Tuesday, we went to our weekly playgroup at Rosie's. I love this group of friends too, it is so much fun to watch them parent their own babies, and they certainly love up on mine.  Since we've started going here K talks about the 'poo' (she means pool) all the time.  Here she is thinking about walking into the baby pool, she looks so serious!
In just a few seconds and already having a good time!
T & Mommy sitting poolside.  I was inspired by K & T's swimming adventures the day before and took them each into the big pool at Rosie's.  No pics of that though, too busy staying safe with them.  The kids did enjoy it though and K was even kicking her legs.
After drying off and a short walk back, it's time for lunch!  T played while I fed K, then they switched.
K eating lunch, cheese pizza, apples and her first Doritos.  She devoured them.  Check out that orange mouth.
On Wednesday, our caseworker came for our monthly homevisit and we spent the rest of the day at home doing our usual thing.  I snapped this pic of K to document that she turned 20 months old on Thursday. What a beautiful girl.
On Thursday, we went to the zoo with my mom and cousin S. Hello elephant!
Nana & K spying on the giraffe.
S looking at the giraffe.
Nana & S petting a python!
K & Nana checking out an owl.  K was a little leery to touch it, but Nana helped her.
Nana & S feeding the goats.
S & Nana brushing goats.
K & T watching Nana in the goat pen. K gets a bit nervous about petting the animals in the children's zoo, but she is very comfortable watching.  Check out T's legs, that guy always looks relaxed!
Nana & S dancing with the goat and the zookeeper! Great moves ladies!
Nana & K looking at K's favorite animal, the cow.  If you ask her what she liked at the zoo, this is the animal she talks about.  We also rode the train and then got caught in a rainstorm while we were eating lunch.  Time to go home!
We came home, dried off and got into warm and comfy clothes.  K quickly found her favorite pal, Doll, and fed her lunch.
Here's T playing/chewing/ attacking these animals.  He likes to knock this puzzle onto the floor and watch me put it all back together.  I'm really quite fast at it. :)
On Friday, we went to Heather's for lunch and some playtime, but I didn't take pics.  Trust me, it was fun.  Aunt Sarah & Uncle Miguel came for dinner that night, they are some of our most favorite play pals!
Saturday was a big day for our yard, but that's for another post.  K spent the morning outside playing and picking grass.
T is happy to be playing inside on Saturday with Mommy.
K & T working hard on the ever popular farm puzzle.
After such a busy week we decided to have a family movie night on Saturday.  For the first time we popped popcorn and watched part of Finding Nemo before bedtime.  Daddy snapped a couple of pics of us before we began.
The girls of the house.
So it turns out that K really likes popcorn, she ate that entire bowl!  A perfect ending to a fantastic week.
