One of my besties, Jen, is doing an ABC countdown this summer with her littles. A couple of weeks ago, she was on G, and I was on C. We decided to cross the Great Serpent Mound off both of our bucket lists, and our ABC lists, and take a car trip to see it with our kiddos. It has been one of my favorite days of the summer!

| We learned that not much is known about the purpose of the mound, but it is not a burial mound. There are three of those located in this area. |

| This is the tail end of the snake, our group are those figures in the background, hopefully giving a sense of the size of this thing. It's really impressive to see the mound, knowing that it was built so long ago, with such precision. |

| After the walk we visited the museum and gift shop. These girls chose some cute things and waited outside with me. |

| It was time for lunch! There was a great shelter that we set up our picnic on and enjoyed lunch in the shade. This guy steals my nectarine every time! |

C is for Car trip. It was a day full of curiosity, conversation and lots of time with our friends in the car.
