traditions

We've kept up with a few traditions this year that I simply enjoy having little kids to do these things with.  I took a few photos to document our nightly December rituals leading up to Christmas.
K & T had a Santa face that they put a cotton ball on his beard each night as Christmas approached.  They thought it was so exciting to watch his beard grow.
Gluing on a ball, she would put on some glue from the glue stick on to the paper, and hold the ball on while counting to 10. She's a great direction follower.
The kids would take turns moving an ornament from the side of the tree, to the quilted tree.  One would do this each night, while the other unwrapped a book.
We continued one of my favorite traditions of wrapping up 24 Christmas books, and unwrapping one each night of December.  On Christmas Eve, we read the Nativity Story about the birth of Jesus Christ from our scriptures.
Handsome boy.
Watching K unwrap the book for the night.
She unwrapped Olive!  What a fun story.

I love these little traditions that we have that build up the kids' excitement about Christmas.  It makes me excited too!
