K & T participated in an art show in November. The amazing art teacher at my school told me about it, and I was immediately interested. The theme was "Attitude of Gratitude" and was for artists from ages 2-5. The children could use any art medium, and had to title their work. I talked to K & T about it one afternoon, and they wanted to do it. We talked about what they were grateful for and then they got to painting. I framed their work, and my pal, Leslie took it to the shop for us to be hung.
We went to the shop on the show's opening night, it's really a cool place. They of course sell a lot of coffee, but have yummy treats and smoothies too. They also have a live band that plays out back on Friday nights, we sat outside and listened to them for awhile while we sipped our smoothies. The kids' art was up for a month, and as a shock to us, three of their five pieces sold! I really wanted K & T to do this for the experience, but they each earned a little money that we will put into their savings accounts for them. It was a win-win!

What a great time we had! We got to see the kids' art, as well as the work of others, we had a couple of treats and chatted with my pal Leslie. We hope to do this all again next year!
