Baking and my mother goes hand in hand like macaroni and cheese or flowers blooming in Spring, two things that compliment one another perfectly. My mom wants to pass down this love of baking, and the know how to do so, to her grandchildren. Hence, Nana Cookie Day. (Besides, aren't cookies and grandchildren just plain fun?!?) K & T love being with their cousins, and an afternoon at Nana's just made it perfect. We made lots of treats, and I took lots of pictures. Just try to look at these without smiling, or drooling a little. Impossible!

| After the icing was dry, the kids painted their cookies with lots of colors. This part was messy but really fun. |

| K rolled these Mexican wedding cakes in powdered sugar all by herself! She was so proud about helping Nana, and talked about it the rest of the day. |

It was such a fun afternoon that flew by! This is a tradition that I hope carries on forever. We love cookies, but we really love Nana! |

| When we got home, the kids were tired and a little wound up from the big day (they aren't napping anymore). I thought we needed a little quiet time to calm down. So, I gave them some books in their beds in their own rooms and they chatted to themselves for a few minutes. I checked on them and K was ready to come downstairs but this guy was out! I tried to wake him, carried him downstairs, snapped some pictures of him on the couch. and he continued to sleep for over an hour. Guess he needed it! |

| So precious! He seems so grown up to me sometimes, but moments like this remind me that he's still just a little guy. I adore watching him grow and learn. |
