Relax, just do it!

You might be an engineer if.... OR if your daughter has to take a picture of you in a T-shirt because you wear them so rarely!  Certainly for this to occur, we were on vacation.  We love you Dad!
K loves having Nana read her stories, and I don't think Nana minds one bit.  Vacation was full of great, new stories.
On our first morning after breakfast, we were ready to spend it at the beach.  We saw these people trying to block the road just a minute before I snapped a pic.
After unloading the car with all of the 'goods', towels, toys, chairs, tent, umbrellas, and cooler bags, we were set up for a great time.  Em & Nana showed K & T how to walk just along the edge of the water.
And then T wanted to get right to digging.  He tried to bury Emma, she looks a little nervous.
Andy & Spencer getting an idea...
...to...
...bury Spencer!
Then someone else got an idea... and started throwing sand on himself.
So he got a little help from his friends.
Monkey see, monkey do, Uncle Spencer I copied you!
'Sweeping' himself off.
Off to the ocean to rinse off.
K just got back from a seashell hunt with Nana & Papa.
Can you see the little sea creature alive on the bottom left?  We watched it swim for awhile before we let it go.
T wanted to look for shells too, so Nana took him.
He was proud of what they found and couldn't wait to show us the sea grass.
Silly guy making a seashell beard.
Both K & T worked on this creation, it's difficult to see, but it's a sand birthday cake.  See the candle?
On this particular day Andy & I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary, so my parents offered to watch the kids while we did a little shopping.
We had heard such great things about this place, and it's been featured on Food Network, so we just had to try these donuts that are made fresh right in front of the customer.
Man oh man were they delicious.  We shared a lemon coconut, maple, and chocolate with sprinkles.  A perfect end to such a fun day.  Happy Anniversary Babe, we are so blessed to have you leading our family!
