Museum Center

I'm still blogging about our summer fun, we did a ton!  Another great hangout for us this summer was the museum center.  We went several times and again feel blessed to have so many great places for us to go to play and learn.  K & T are getting really good at playing or looking at books in the car so I didn't mind one bit driving us around the past few months.  Sometimes we went places on our own, and other times we met up with friends and family.  Here's a look at a few of our romps around the museum center.
Nana gave the kids pennies and taught them how to let them go down the wishing well.
Checking out a polar bear.
There is a cave build right into the Natural History Museum, the kids had a blast running as fast as possible through exploring it.

Couldn't get this guy to slow down for a picture...
The sand table is always very popular with both kiddos.
Doing a little fishing with Nana.
More sand fun.
T got really good at pushing this scooter to the top of the ramp and then riding it back down.
Where there's a slippery slide, there's a happy little boy.
Nana & K coloring bugs
T spent a lot of time at the shapes station this visit.
We found this sand play area on this visit too.  The kids could have played here all day!
On another trip Daddy came along for a morning full of fun. This has to be one of T's favorite things to do.  Ever. This tube serves as a vacuum for these plastic balls, and T could stand there all day shoving balls up the tube and watching them travel across the ceiling to a big tub that dumps them all out.
IT'S WINDY!
Yet another one of our boy playing cars.
She does love to color!
Cousin S got to come with us for the day.  She is always so much fun to have around, and she's really a great helper too.  Both K & T simply adore her.  In fact, T sings Happy Birthday to S at least once a day to himself.  He must have really enjoyed her party last May. :)
Just doing a little shopping.
K & S playing at the sand table. They were hard at work!
T showing Daddy his tricks.
More sand time!
T showing Daddy how to fish.
K driving the chicken car.
Yep, this one loves the slide.
It's water time!
So happy!

I think she gets her hands wet just so she can run over to dry them.
Daddy & T looking for K & S in the woods, an indoor climbing park at the museum.
Hot on their trail!
After the woods, K found the baby dolls.  What a great mommy she is.  See how carefully she's holding the baby?
Here's S stopping for a quick photo.
T & S playing on the pretend bus.
Making wishes!
1 mommy, 1 daddy, 1 brother, 1 sister, 1 cousin & 1 polar bear.
The girls holding hands while they walked around.  Adorable!
In the cave. (Of course T is running ahead )
The beautiful museum center.
Lovely S!
Cousins squinting in the sun, but they are all still so cute.

As we were walking out, we noticed this awesome chalk drawing someone had left on the sidewalk.  Had to snap a pic, what talent!
On our most recent trip we met up with one of my favorite pals, Jen, and her daughter H.  Jen's older two boys were in school already and were having their own kind of fun.  Here's H riding a sea monster in the sand.
T trying to work the sand wheel.  He's really fun to watch play because he tries to figure out how everything works.  He's really observant for a 1 year old.
This time in the cave I was able to snap a shot of him, of course from behind.
More coloring!
Rolling balls down a ramp.
She's trying to match letters to pictures, then she would take the letter to the coloring station and write it.  She's a teacher in the making!
Jen & H taking a shopping cart stroll.
Of course he's riding the scooter, it's so much fun!
T's turn at the chicken car.
What a handsome & happy boy!
Pretty K sitting in a giant clam shell.
H giving her best dinosaur ROAR!
Playing in the fountain after lunch.
Love this girly girl!
Besties.  Thanks for a fantastic day Jen & H!

Oh how I love trips to the museum center, there is just so much to do there!
