I walk myself

It's getting darker earlier, but we are continuing to try to get outside most evenings.  The kids are excited about wearing jackets, and the cooler air is so much fun to play in!
K opted to ride in the stroller because she wanted to 'shine' her laser pop at things while we were walking.
This guy started yelling, "I walk myself" while we were still in the house getting his shoes on.  He really is trying to be independent and declares it often.  His new obsession is picking up every. single. pebble. that he sees in the cracks in the sidewalk.
This was my view for a lot of the walk.  I don't know he stands like that for so long.
Cute huh?  That's Mr. T walking BACKWARDS.  He is so proud of himself for learning this new trick.  I asked him to turn around after I snapped this picture.  Gotta be safe!
Happy, happy K.  She loves to be outside.
Digging for more pebbles.
Doesn't this look super fun?
K thought so.  She wanted to get out and help T after we began our walk.
"Walking myself."  When they say that, they mean that not only do they want to walk, but they don't want to hold anyone's hands.
Monkey See, Monkey Do, she wanted to try walking backwards too.
Showing me one of his treasured pebbles.
Looking for flowers/clover/weeds in our neighbors' grass. There is no doubt that they are brother and sister.
See?  It's so cute how they do the same things at the same time.  It was just getting dark enough for them to see their laser pop images outside.
Big boy T shining his laser on a rock.  Every time we walk by this house he wants to run up and touch it.
Back at home there was time for some slide fun!
He's a pro.
K in her element.
Just love this girlie!
T was playing with this truck and singing "Eency, Weency Spider" while driving up the ladder.
Playing under the playset.
These are the treasures that the kids brought to me tonight.  They love to collect their finds in one of the holders on our stroller.
Happy, happy kids who heart to walk themselves and who are growing up way too fast!
