One year ago

 One year ago.  One year ago today at about 5 pm we received a phone call that began like this.  "Hi Corrie, it's Kimberly.  Don't get excited".  Those words began the phone call where we learned about K & T and that they might be available for adoption .  We didn't learn much more than their ages in this initial phone call, and were asked to pray if we would be willing to parent two babies at once.  Of course Andy & I had been praying for years to become parents, and especially after our failed placement in August of 2011.

On this day, one year ago, we began praying for two little people that we had never met.  We prayed that the Lord's will be done concerning these two sweet babies, we prayed for their birthfamilies, we prayed for their foster parents and we prayed that we would continue to be patient and ready when the time came for us to get to be parents.  Little did we know that 22 days later we would be bringing home the two most beautiful and wanted babies in the world! 

One year ago our lives were changed forever, with one phone call from a dedicated caseworker who believed in prayer too. 

One year ago our home was clutter free, quiet and lonely. 

I have always known that the Lord lives, but I learned one year ago how much he loved me and that He truly is involved with the details of our lives.  He heard our every prayer and wish.  One year ago the windows of heaven began to open and pour down upon us.

One year ago our family story really began. 

March is going to full of beautiful memories as we remember the miracle that began one year ago.
