Some friends of ours asked us to join them for a walk for Children's Hospital last Saturday. We happen to be free in the morning and were happy for the excuse to be outside and at such a fun venue. I was interested to see how K & T would react to so many people, and so many new things to look at.
| It was a bit chilly that morning, and K was more than excited to wear her new gloves. She actually chose these herself when we went shopping recently. I had picked out ones to match her hat, but she made a great choice so we went with it. They are pretty cute. |
| We bundled T up and found ourselves fighting a battle with him tossing blankets and removing layers as the morning went on. He is becoming his own person, it's adorable. |
| Ready to roll! |
| This was registration. Wait in line much? :) |
| There was plenty of entertainment and lots of good people watching. |
| Mommy's ready! |
| We joined our pals who quickly showed us the free goodie area before the walk began. There were lots of treats. K wanted the fruit snacks immediately. |
| T was content to observe his surroundings. |
| Playing with our pals. |
| Say cheese! |
| After a little speech by the hospital president we joined the crowd and began walking. We stuck to the 1 mile course, although there was a 3 mile available. |
| Look who was in the crowd, Bearcat! |
| At the start there was a tunnel of bubbles, K tried to catch them. |
| Look at all the people! It was really neat to read the shirts and signs of the teams who supported specific children who had or who were currently fighting for their lives. There were also several teams walking in memory of a loved one. This walk really made us count our blessings of the gift of health. |
| After the walk we had lunch that was provided by the sponsors of the event. Doesn't K look like such a big girl sitting at the table? |
| Daddy & T eating lunch. |
| K and one of her favorite treats, an apple! |
| Finally, it was time to head home. We found this cool flood sign on the walk out of the park. Thank you for inviting us H family, we're excited for next year already! |
