We celebrated our 9th Fourth of July in our home this year, and as usual, had family & friends over to celebrate with us. I've come to really love this holiday, and am thankful that our friends want to party with us every year. K & T understood a bit more this year that we were having people over, and they got really excited when their friends started to arrive. There was heaps of food, lots of activities, plenty of people to talk to, and of course, fireworks. Happy Birthday America!

| T (in red) and his pal F, from church, played together all night long. |
| We had a boat station set up for the kids to make these little boats (thank you library storytime for the idea!) and race them in a kiddie pool. |
| It's hard to tell what he's doing here, but he's trying out the cereal shooters that we made. It's a small plastic cup with the bottom cut off, and a balloon with the top cut off, the balloon is then stretched over the cup and voila, a shooter! We used cheerios as the ammo, and we were all impressed how far these little things shot. |
| Having a little dinner with Sarah and Beth, so glad they could come! |
| This is me and my pal Karlin, I just love this lady. |
| Cousin S came, and was all decked out in 4th of July pretties. |
| Uncle Spencer came and played with Baby J for awhile. |
| Here's the boys loading up the shooters, this was quite popular. |
| Spencer is my youngest brother, I'm so happy he came to hang out with us. |
| Auntie Em loves baby J, like we all do. |
| A shot of some of the party food, man our friends can cook! |
| Our friend Pat was happy to grab a piece of apple pie. Yum! |
| H is so good to K & T, he finds them every Sunday for a high five! |
| We played some hillbilly golf, and cornhole at the party, there's always lots to do. |
| Just a shot of some of the kids playing. |
| Auntie Shelley brought a great firework craft for the kids to do, they really enjoyed it! |
| Some of the finished artwork dried on our pumpkin patch. :) |
| It used coffee filters, markers and a spray bottle of water. The kids spent a lot of time working on them. Thanks Shelley! |
| T eating a little more, he looks so tall here. |
| Smile J! |
| Winner, winner chicken dinner! |
| While the kids played, the grown ups chatted. |
| Beth and her friend kept K company after dinner. |
| Inside the house there were some crazy antics going on. |
| We are so proud of these two young men. Brendon, on the right, recently returned from a 2 year church mission in Brazil, and Luke, has now left on his mission in Washington State. We love you guys! |
| As night fell, it was time for sparklers. |
| Cousin S looks really happy with hers. |
| T thought these were amazing. |
| K was a little nervous with hers, but Auntie Em helped her. |
| This is K, hours after her usual bedtime, ready for fireworks! |
The night ended with a beautiful fireworks show.

Thanks for a great Red, White & KaBoom! I say let's do it all again next year!
