E is for an Experiment with Emma

We got together with Auntie Emma a couple of weeks ago, and she had chosen something awesome to do to celebrate the letter E. We gathered the materials for her science experiment, making ice cream in a bag!  We didn't tell the kids what the result would be, just had them follow our directions.  There were some questioning looks that's for sure. In the end however, everyone was pleased.  Fun choice Auntie Em!

Emma & K were all smiles to give this a try!
Uncle Spencer & T were ready for some fun.  Uncle Eric was actually here too, but preferred not to be photographed.

K giving me a look, she really wanted to know what we were making.
After the cream, sugar and vanilla were put into a bag that was lined with salt and ice, it was time to shake.

T's hand were getting cold, so we grabbed some gloves for him and K.  This guy had fun the whole evening as he always does.
We had Spencer use milk instead of cream for two reasons.  1. He eats incredibly healthy and we knew that he would prefer a low fat option.   2. I wanted to see if it would work.
Emma even had 'shaking' music for us.  Nice touch.
The group finishing up the shaking process.  Everyone's worked, even Spencer's, but his had to be shaken longer.
K was very happy to figure out what we were doing and the ice cream was delicious!

T wanted to add some chocolate topping to his.  Then he gobbled it all up.
Uncle Spencer opted for chocolate too.
