learning post

At the request of Auntie Em, here's a learning post!  She was right, it was been awhile since we've done one of these.  I asked the kids questions during their pancake breakfast that Daddy made Sunday morning.
Here are K's favorites, according to her
K's height: 43"
K's shoe size: 11
K's weight: 43 lbs
K's clothing size: size 5 tops and bottoms, but looks cute in 6 too! (I'm having a hard time with moving to the girls' section of the store, no more toddler sizes for K)
favorite fruit: strawberries, she's looking forward to some from our garden soon
favorite food: french fries from McDonald's (she dips them in barbecue sauce)
favorite story: Princess Halloween (a Disney princess book)
favorite song: Teach Me to Walk in the Light
favorite movie: Cinderella
favorite thing to do outside: play catch with Mommy
favorite thing to do on a Saturday: "go to Rosie's pool on a hot day"
favorite playground activity: swing, "I feel like I'm flying bird!"
favorite zoo animal: zebras & giraffes
favorite treat: cake on our birthdays, "I like to blow out the candles"
favorite color: pinkandpurple
favorite breakfast: cereal (she likes frosted mini-wheats)
favorite thing to do with Mommy: snuggle and watch a show, play outside, hug, read books
favorite inside activity: play with Baby, color with magic markers
favorite lunch: vegetable soup from Frisch's
favorite Wii game: badminton
favorite thing to do with Daddy: ride scooters outside
favorite chore: Swiffer the kitchen floor (but she really loves any job we'll let her do)
favorite thing to do with Nana: "snuggle while she reads me books"
most recently got in trouble for: making a stink face at T
favorite thing to do at Heather's: play with Leia, the dog
favorite tv show: Sophia the 1st
favorite saying: "just kidding!"

K has quite an extensive vocabulary.  I've noticed her recently saying bigger words, and then defining them for me.  Example: "Mom, I'm exhausted.  That means I didn't get much sleep last night".  She continues to learn new things everyday, she asks great questions, and acts much older than her 4 years.  She has learned to skip rope, and tells me her friend Kr, Heather's daughter, taught her how to do it. She loves to write lists, and asks me to spell all kinds of words. She is SO ready for preschool in the fall!  I just adore her.

Here are T's favorites, according to him
T's height: 41"
T's shoe size: 10
T's weight: 37 lbs
T's clothing size: 3T or 4T shirts, 4T pants, but the pants have to have an adjustable waist, this boy is skinny!

favorite movie: Robin Hood
favorite thing to do outside: ride bikes
favorite thing to do on a Saturday: mow with Daddy outside

favorite zoo animal: lions
favorite treat: jellybeans or lollipops
favorite tv show: Lego Ninjago
favorite color: blue
favorite breakfast: orange rolls
favorite thing to do with Mom: swordfight in the hallways
favorite inside activity: play hallways (see above)
favorite lunch: 'Tella again (that's exactly what he said)

favorite job: help dad
favorite thing to do with Nana: dig for worms with her
most recently got in trouble for: hitting/chopping at K
favorite thing to do at Heather's: play swords

I tell myself how blessed I am to have such a fun little boy.  He is certainly a giant spirit crammed into a little body.  He is so full of life and energy.  He talks a mile a minute, continues to run everywhere, and always has a sword nearby in case bad guys come over. He is climbing everything, jumps everywhere and never slows down.  He is funny, silly, and has a great sense of humor. He is a joy to be around.
