K & T's Gotcha Day fell during Spring Break week and they both voted for a trip to the zoo to celebrate. We were all really happy that Andy took the day off of work to be with us, he always makes life more fun, and it made the day even more special.
| How excited we were to see the elephants playing in a different area than we usually see them, and they were actually playing with sticks! T just about lost his mind trying to get the words out of his mouth to tell us all about it. That boy loves a good stick to carry around. |
| We stood here and watched the elephants pick up the sticks with their trunks and bang and push them on the ground. It was amazing! |
| The giraffes are always a must see for us. I think they might be my favorites. |
| The kids love to climb all over this statue, and I jumped in too! Seemed appropriate, a Mama and her cubs. |
| This crew enjoyed watching this flamingo play around in his pool of water. We are looking forward to Summer to seeing lots of flamingos out at the zoo, they are fun to watch interact with each other. |
| It was a beautiful day for the zoo, and many, many others thought so too, it was really crowded. We didn't get to see all that we normally like to, but we found some new things to do after we watched the polar bears for a little bit. |
| I loved the sweet message on this poster about Gladys, seems that adoption was the theme of the day! |
| We took in our first 4-D movie with K & T. K didn't love it so much, but T sure did. They were both troopers throughout the new experience. |
| We toured the insect house for the first time too. Here is T trying to weight himself in insects. He's a lightweight. |
| Monkey see, monkey do, you weighed yourself, now I want to too! |
| A future scientist? |
| K & T were both impressed by this large ant home. We watched these leaf cutters for quite a few minutes. |
| See that tarantula? I remember catching them in jars when I was kid living in Arizona. I can't imagine doing that now. |

| We grabbed McDee's on the way home after our zoo trip. The kids wore themselves out playing on the playset after the late lunch. |
| Back home we gave the kids their Gotcha Day gifts. K was in love with the baby carrier for Baby, she carries it with her everywhere! |
| T was really happy with his gift too. What does every outdoor lovin', daddy helpin', 3 year old boy need? |
| His very own broom and metal rake. |
| Just look how pleased he is! |
| She is too. |
| K put Baby down for a nap so that we could go outside to try out T's tools. We played outside for awhile too. |
| And we finished Gotcha day with dinner and cupcakes (Daddy loves these orange cupcakes). T was all too happy to blow out his candle. |
| Her too. What a terrific day to celebrate! |
Happy Gotcha Day K & T, it's one of my most favorite days of the year! We love you both to pieces!
