homebound

During the snowstorms in February, we spent a lot of time indoors, keeping busy and having fun. K & T can make a toy out of just about anything, and I try my best to let it happen.  T & I built this cup tower that he promptly smashed with his light saber.  :)  We built it back up several more times until the cups gave way.

Painting is one of their favorite things to do.  Blue is clearly T's favorite color of choice.
Here's more lining up.  This time is plastic Australian money that he uses as pirate coins.
ipads are always a good go to when we can't go outside, they watch Netflix and play games on them.
I've talked about the new found interest in puzzles, K especially.
She did this one all by herself.
On a couple of our snowdays, Daddy got to work from home.  Eating lunch together was fun!
We did go outside after bundling up to play in the snow.
T ALWAYS wants to help Daddy with whatever task he's doing.  Daddy was shoveling our driveway so T attacked the sidewalk to save Daddy some time.
Our snow angel
Working together to get the job done.
Love this snowy smile.
It wouldn't be winter if this guy didn't eat a bunch of snow.
He is very content when he's outside, especially when digging.
Cuddling on the couch for a movie is great to do when it's cold outside.
Jumping on the trampoline is a great warming up activity for these two!
It seems there's always someone having a sword fight with light sabers. (One of my favorite finds on pinterest, ever!)
Catching up on a little Sesame Street in chairs is essential on a snowy day.

'Reading' to puppy is a new favorite thing to do, but I love seeing this one!
This stance tells me he's ready to play 'hallways' with me.
Where we each have a sword, sometimes K too, and we run and run chasing each other in our hallway and front room.  We've played this countless times this winter.
Jumping on this air mattress helped burned off lots of energy.
and was a great play surface too...
See?  They figured out how to get it to 'float'.
We watched the snowfall a lot through our windows.
Played lots of dress up too.
Lots of legos were demolished,
and stickers stuck on paper
by both of these two.
There was more painting,
and more shoveling
and more shoveling
and lots of picture taking
of my two.
There was even more shoveling
and snow eating
and snow playing
and lots of picture taking! (Sensing a theme yet?)
K made a sweet little snowman, ready for a party.
There was more game playing
and snow falling
and some serious fort building
and lots of hiding
and more picture taking
and demolishing too.
And a couple of days was even MORE shoveling
that our two missed out on by...sleeping.  They really do that too!
