We have had several Halloween celebrations over the past few weeks as we looked forward to the Big Night of candy gathering. One Saturday, we headed down to the zoo for Hallzooween. It was a chilly day, so we opted for plan B on the kids' costumes to ensure they would stay warm. We met up with Shelley & S there and practically had the place to ourselves for most of the morning. There were trick or treat stations set up around the zoo, so we got to see our favorites animals, and the kids' got little treats too! It was such a fun morning, the kids loved dressing up, and really enjoyed seeing all the other kids dressed up too.

| Princess K |
| Recognize this costume? K wore it last year, and now it fits T perfectly. He looks so warm and snuggly. |
| It was a bit blustery, but the wind didn't seem to bother the kids one bit. |
| The elephant watching the elephant. |
| Cutest Dorothy around! |
| As one might have guessed, she LOVED wearing her tiara. |
| Eating a treat. For the record, he is a candy chomper, whereas K can make it last forever. |
| The kids snacking and watching... |
| ...a baby flamingo. They are all adorable. |
| T is patiently waiting for the train. |
| "Cheese!" Says K just before we rolled out. |
| After a few more treat stations and a few more animals, we jumped on the carousal, which made this little one so very happy. |
| S too! They both wanted animals that went 'up and down'. |
| Smile T & Shelley!! |
Our church held it's annual Trunk-or-Treat & Chili Cookoff last month as well. I took a few pictures of K & T in their real Halloween costumes just before the festivities began.

| Clark Kent, at your service. |
| Cutest giraffe in town! |
| Cousin N & T hanging out before trunk or treating. |
| Cousin A, T, cousin N & K, what a great group! |
| My favorite picture of the night. Happy Trunk or Treating! |
Another evening last month we decorated pumpkins. I thought the kids might be grossed out by the pumpkin innards, but they were actually fascinated. They have enjoyed watching our pumpkin after it was carved, and requested that it sit at the dinner table, lit, while they ate their meals for a few days.
| Here's Daddy getting the pumpkin ready to carve. |
| While Daddy worked, T did a little decorating of his own. |
| K too! Anything with markers is usually a hit. |
| Our pumpkin just before we showed it to T & K. |
| K's initial reaction to seeing the 'guts'. Look at that smile! |
| Mr. Curiosity couldn't wait to get his hands in. |
| K did a really great job of sorting seeds from the gunk. We roasted the seeds and she ate a bunch! She's a salty snack kinda girl. |
| Playing with the pumpkin. At one point his entire arm was inside it. |
| This year's pumpkin, The Count. |
Finally the big night arrived, we got dressed up and went to Nana's for our first candy of the evening.
| CHEESE!!!!!! |
| Trick-or-treat! |
| Our next stop was our friends' home, Shayleen is one of K & T's favorite people. They love playing with her kids at her house. |
| Cousin B, Aunt Sarah & Grandma came over to help pass out candy while we took the kids trick or treating. K helped B pass out candy to some of our first visitors before we left. |
| It was quite rainy during our trick or treating time, but K & T were excited to use their umbrellas and weren't bothered at all. |
| Both kids loved running up to our neighbors' doors and saying 'trick or treat' and 'thank you'! |
| This is how T carried his umbrella for most of our adventure. |
| That's why he looks like this! But that smile says he had a great time. |
| Clark Kent, soaking wet. |
| K managed her umbrella a bit better. |
| Cousin B with her dog Edgar. |
| While we took a break from trick or treating to dry off a bit, T played in the garage. |
| Aunt Sarah got in on the action too. |
| Having a blast! |
| B took K back out and trick or treated on the rest of our street, they got quite a load of candy! K loved the one on one time with B, and talked about her for the rest of the night. So glad they are friends. Thanks for coming over everyone, Happy Halloween! |
