First Snow

We watched the snow fall from our kitchen windows with K & T shortly after Christmas, and they weren't sure what to make of it.  It must have seemed very odd to see huge white flakes falling from the sky and swirl around in the yard.  After the snow collected into a couple of inches we took K & T out in it to see what they would do. We certainly weren't prepared with gear, but have borrowed a bunch since then. We bundled kids up and ventured outside into our front yard ready for some fun.
K was SO excited to be going out, she continues to love being outdoors.  This is just before Daddy put her down to get into the snow for the first time with us. (I'm not sure if she played in any last year)
T also likes to go outside, but doesn't really like the getting into a coat, hats and gloves part.  He quickly learned to bite and pull his gloves off.  He's such a smartie.
She was giddy to be out, and marched around in the driveway watching her footprints.  She was a little unsure of walking in it on the grass however.  Daddy showed her how to eat the snow and she thought that that was awesome.  In fact, every time she saw the snow over the next few days she would say, "Mommy, eat it?  Eat it?" while she pointed outside. We also had to have a chat about only eating the snow in our yard, after she wanted to taste it in the Costco parking lot.
This little man was a little unsure of what to do with the snow, but changed his mind when Daddy put a little in his mouth.  "MMMMmmm" he said.
He is such a beautiful baby!
After a few minutes K & T figured out how to knock the snow off our bushes, they thought this was great fun.
Of course Daddy was right in the thick of it all, he's a good man.
Love this little lady!
T's ready to go in, but wanted to go right back out again.  I had a flash of our future of him running in and out and in and out and in and out to play in the snow.  That time will be here before we know it!
