D is for Donuts & Drawing

D was so much fun!  We met up with my teacher pals Leslie & Becky, & Becky's children for the event.  Becky's son L was in my first grade class just this past school year, so it was extra fun to catch up with him.  K & T always enjoy being with other children, and of course they love donuts.  Here's D day!

We started off with a short morning walk to the donut shop.

We carefully chose our donuts from the case after being offered free cookies for the kids from the bakery ladies.

After buying our brekkie, we walked to a local coffee shop that welcomes outside food.  Don't worry, Leslie & Becky bought coffee, and I bought smoothies.  It was legit.

It was time to draw after breakfast.  K got right to work.  She LOVES art.

My T protested a little.  He doesn't really love to draw, so he chose to sit in a chair by the window despite my asking him to come to the table.  Becky's sweet T starting drawing giant curly circles.

Here's L!  I love this guy, he is one hard worker.  He was a joy to have in class, I miss him so!

This T started wandering a little, and ended up drawing at the cute this table right next to my T.

Leslie, who is a super cool genius art teacher, thought to just take the paper to T, rather than make him sit at the table with us.  He took it right away and started working.  She's so smart.

I loved watching them.

It was just fun to be with friends.

These kiddos got along so well!

I don't know what they are working on, but it looks serious.
