B is for Bengals! At the beginning of the summer we signed up for Recess in the Stadium, an event sponsored by Children's Hospital. It was a cool health fair/family event that allowed attendees to actually walk onto the field at Paul Brown Stadium and have lots of fun. I'm not sure the kids really understood where we were, but they had fun playing on the field and trying everything out. This is something I hope we do again.

| Walking hand in hand, it was a beautiful day! Upon arrival each child was given a t-shirt, a tattoo & a water bottle. Of course K & T were pumped. |
| How nice were the Bengals to provide tattoos to celebrate B day! |
| Most of the activities involved some sort of movement. T thought tennis was awesome, he didn't want to leave this area. |
| Posing with WhoDey! |
| Playing Microsoft's virtual dancing game. They loved it! |
| Learning about a cow's heart, which apparently, is similar to a human's. K opted not to check it out. |
| A once in a lifetime chance, standing at the 50 yard line on a NFL field. |
| T showing off his tumbling skills. He can do them backwards too. |
| K doing a somersault. |
| Looking up to try for a field goal. |
| Trying hard to score! |
| K's turn to try to kick. |
| The kids loved this fun run. They are running side by side on the right. |
| Family fun! |
| One more family selfie. |
| These balance balls were harder than they look. |
| Trying to hop in and out of this ladder. |
| Running hurdles |
| He nailed them! |
| One last look back at the field. |
On the way out, the kids wanted to try this zumba event. They both really like music, and love to dance!
Finally, we had to head for home. We snacked on apples, bananas & granola bars that we had been given in the stadium and talked about our favorite events of the day. T liked running, K liked seeing the cheerleaders, A liked being on the field and I loved seeing my family have so much fun! Thank you Recess in the Stadium, you made for a bodicious B day! |
