K
wants to be a mermaid thinks she is a mermaid. She loves the idea of mermaids, and has asked me several times if they are real. She is truly disappointed that the answer is no. This summer she insisted on being called Mermaid instead of her name for a few days. Sweet girl.
Both kids enjoy being in the water, and K especially, learned some new water skills that she put to good use this summer. So, be a mermaid, girl, be it! S is for Swimming only made sense to celebrate what we did a lot of this summer.
| We hung out at this pool weekly with our playgroup pals. Man, do we miss seeing them so often. |
| K was asking me to watch her go under and 'blow bubbles'. |
| She's a pro! |
| This guy was throwing little rubber torpedoes with his pals and finding them in the water. |
| Found one! |
| Some of the playgroup crew. |
| Swimming buddies. |
| The moms in our playgroup always bring water toys to play with, that's one of the best part of 'swimming' right? Grandma gave us some fun ones this summer that we brought with us. Guess what one of them was. |
| A water shooter! He was in heaven. |
| K's turn with the torpedo. |
| Getting ready to drop a bomb. |
| BOOM! |
| The hunt is on for the object. |
| Got it! |
| My mermaid, and my pirate (or is it me pirate?). |
| When one sees a mermaid, a selfie is in order! |
S is for Swimming. It was a sensational day!
