I took this picture a few months ago to remind me of a goal I set at the beginning of this year, to read my scriptures with the kids. I know it's important to read scriptures daily, it is so good for the soul. But, I was having a hard time trying to fit it in during the day. I also know that modeling is really important for children to learn correct behavior, so I decided to combine the two. I read to them, usually a few verses and summarize what we've read usually during dinner.
To remember to do it, I leave my scriptures on the table so that I can see them everyday. I hate having extra things on our dinner table, so I immediately focus on them at mealtimes. We haven't gotten to it every day, but it's most day during the week. I hope that K & T are learning to love the scriptures, and learning that I love them too. I'm really proud of K & T...and me for this one. Scripture power!
