egg hunting

This past weekend we attended an AWESOME egg hunt at the home of the R family.  They are some of our very best friends, and we always have a good time at their place. K & T have been practicing for this hunt for a few weeks, looking for eggs that Andy & I have hidden around our house.  Of course, ours is on a much smaller scale than the actual hunt, but the kids have loved looking for the eggs, and only sometimes remember that there is a treat inside each egg. :)  I guess it's the thrill of the chase.  There were lots of families at this event and over 1,000 eggs!  One of my favorite parts of this hunt is the 'little tot' area, a special area fenced off for toddlers to ensure that they will get some eggs when the hunt begins.  The weather was perfect last weekend, warm and windy, just right for an incredible egg hunt.
Here's a snapshot of the little tot area, check out all of the 'hidden' eggs!
Andy & T on the hunt. After T found his first egg, he wanted to open it and eat it right away.  Andy encouraged him to keep finding eggs.
This smiley girl loves a party!  She was so excited to be there!
Searching for eggs.
Looking and looking.
Success!
There were so many eggs to find!
Just look at all of the fun.

At the end of the hunt, each kid had a bag full of eggs, what a grand time!
After the hunt it was time for even more fun, trampoline time!
Jump, jump, jump K & T, jump, jump!
The kids spent a lot of time on the playset too, and worked up quite an appetite. What a terrific afternoon.  Thanks to all of the planners, we can't wait until next year.
We are a happy family!
