Finally, warm weather!

After being cooped up inside for months, this past Saturday it finally warmed up enough for us to play outside for more than a few minutes.  K & T had both noticed the snow melting on Friday and mentioned, separately, something along the lines of,  "the snow's going, now we can go on walks!".  I love that they love being outside. On Saturday after K's dance class, we stopped at a local park and played for about an hour.  It felt wonderful to be outdoors again, the kids ran and ran around the park, and we even got to feed some ducks.  It was a blissful morning.  Now we are back to cold, cold weather and possible snow this week.  It makes me so anxious for Spring to arrive!
Here's our daredevil in action!
"MOM!! ..... a stick", T said.
Pretty blue eyes stops for a nano-second so I can snap her picture.
This was the first thing she ran to, the bouncy bridge.
This little continues to love a slide!
"Mom!  I found a stick too!" K said.
After playing on the playground for awhile, we wondered over to the edge of  the lake.  See that white/grey mass in the upper right of the photo?  That's the ice on the lake that was frozen over the past few weeks.  The ducks were very happy to see us.  I don't think you're supposed to feed the ducks, but I didn't see a sign saying that.  So, I grabbed the kids' snack bags of cereal and they went to town.
She was so happy, just look at that cheesy grin!
Let's call this one, "Some for the ducks, and some for me!"
Feeding the ducks with much gusto.
Note that these ducks are brown and grey in color and that K & T are close to the edge of the sidewalk.
Just a few seconds later, these large white ducks came waddling up cutting in front of the other ducks and gobbling up all the cereal they could find.  They made K & T a tad nervous.
So, we started back away from the lake.  Here's a better look at the ice covering the lake.
We finished our snack, played a little more and headed for home.   We are all looking forward to SPRING!
