play ball!

We signed K & T up for tee-ball! I have watched dozens of tee-ball games over the years, from my own brothers, to students who invited me to come, I've cheered and cheered them on.  But it's something to watch my own little ones trying something new.  It's nerve racking & totally awesome!  :)

They were so excited to be on a team, they practiced with their gloves in our yard a few times before we actually went to the first practice.
We asked that K & T be on the same team, for this year it's works with the age groups.  They are on a co-ed team for 4 & 5 year olds.
Their first practice was last week, they did well overall.  K was a bit nervous at first, and was really worried about not being 'good' right away.  We talked a lot last week about learning new things, and trying, trying, trying.  T, on the other hand, was confident going in, but ended a little frazzled.  He was back to his old self for Saturday's practice.
She's a natural, cowboy boots and all!
I snapped a picture of their clean cleats just before their first official practice last week.  These shoes will never look like this again!
Meeting some of the other team players.

Running with the boys (who are behind him, out of the picture).
What's tee-ball without dirt?
Walking with Coach to learn the names of the bases.
Listening to one of the Asst. Coaches.
Rolling ground balls with the other players.
There was some throwing too.
Good form T!

This is one happy girl, she makes friends so easily.
This little one was a trooper, he's one of the youngest on the team, but also one of the tallest.

My loves.
I feel like this could be a high school yearbook candid.  Slow down time!
Learning to measure up.
Hitting was one of this favorite things to do.
Run T, run!
We are going to have so much fun this season!  Go Sharks!
