sakes alive, K is 5!

How can this be... K is five already? Our darling baby girl is growing up!  For the past couple of months if she's asked how old she is, she will say 'almost five' instead of 'four'.  I really think that she doesn't like to think of herself as the same age as T, even for 6 short weeks. She's even asked me a couple of times this week if she's still older than him.

Smart, funny, obedient, imaginative, artistic & a princess-in-training is how I would describe K.  She is just on the edge of starting to read, it's so exciting.  At night she's been asking us if she can be the reader, and we listen to her retell favorite stories while looking at the pictures.  She's pretty good. She really likes going to school, and she loves to 'write', draw and paint.  She also has an awesome imagination!

K is a great big sister for T.  She seems to like to boss him around, she keeps an eye on him, plays with him, helps him and randomly tells T that she loves him.  She is a wonderful daughter as well.  She wants to help me all the time, she talks and talks and talks to me, loves to snuggle up, likes to run errands with me, and looks forward to 'stay home' days on the weekends with our family.  She enjoys going to church, and is building her testimony of Jesus Christ.  She has such big things in store for her.

Happy Birthday Miss K!  You are my favorite little girl in the whole world.  You are my miracle, my answer to prayer, my hopes & dreams all wrapped up in one beautiful girl.

I took these photos of her in our front yard a few weeks ago.

In our birthday tradition, I interviewed K using the most of the same questions I asked T last month. From the mouth of our beautiful little girl, here's K's fifth birthday interview.
