pumpkin

Tis the season!  We squeezed in a little pumpkin carving about a week before Halloween.  When we got it all set up, K asked if we were going to cook the seeds so she could eat them.  Is it possible that she remembered this from last year?  If so, she has such a great memory!
We got the kids settled at the table and Andy made the first few cuts to make a cap and open the pumpkin up.
Right away the kids started pulling seeds off of the guts.
Daddy showing off some of the inner goods.
Of course the kids wanted to have turns reaching in and checking the guts out.
K wasn't so sure she liked it.  Her face is showing a little nervousness.
But she went back in a couple of times.  She's a great seed scooper!
T was more than ready when it was his turn.
Having a grand time!
Checking it all out.
...And he loved it.
Showing his stuff!
After the inside was cleaned out, the kids began watching The Great Pumpkin.  A Halloween Classic!  We took over the carving after the kiddos went to bed.
After some earlier debate, T wanted a witch and K wanted this scaredy cat, we had to flip a coin to decide what to do.  Cat it was!
Check, another tradition in the books.
