Last weekend we went out to one of our favorite places to eat. It's a chinese buffet not far from where we live. Now, anyone who really knows me, knows that I am NOT a fan of buffets as a whole, but this little place doesn't seem to bother me. Everything is fresh, there are not thousands of choices that have been sitting around forever, and we don't immediately regret our choice about eating here when we walk out the doors.
On this particular evening, we walked up to pay when we arrived, and the cashier asked how old the kids were. We said that they were both two and she just looked at us. I'm sure she thought we were trying to pull a fast one on her, since kids 3 and up have pay for their meals. 2 and under are free. I wanted to tell her that we weren't lying, that we really do have two two year olds for the moment, but she just shrugged her shoulders and rung us up. Hey lady, we are telling the truth, see these running shoes? That's for chasing them around!
As for the food here and just about anywhere else, it continues to amaze me what K will try. I took a few pictures to remind her of this courage when she gets older. T, on the other hand, does not believe in eating anything that isn't fresh fruit, jello or broccoli at the buffet. That doesn't stop us from putting it on his plate though, one of these days a piece of chicken is going to slip in there!

These two are so much fun to be with. They are a joy to be around. They are silly, smart talking machines. Of course they are a lot of work too, and we are learning a whole new level of patience, but that's to be expected with TWO TWO year olds! (Hey, I only have a couple more weeks to say this. :) )
