These two are growing by leaps and bounds! They are talking more and more everyday and their little personalities are shining through. They are pure joy. We had them at the doctor last week and all is well! T weighs 20 pounds and is a little tall for his age. K weighs 28 pounds and is also a little tall for her age. T wears a size 5 shoe and K wears a 6. They continue to meet their developmental milestones and are just so much fun! They have had colds/ear infections/stomach bugs here and there, but that is to be expected with their young age. They are usually is great spirits and are always ready to start the day. We had a blast with them over the holiday and are already looking forward to our Christmas vacations to do it all again.
Now that T is a full fledged walker he and K spend a lot of the day following each other around. They chase each other, giggle and laugh at each other and like to 'hide' in the play tent for the other to find them. They are getting much better at sharing with one another (thanks mostly to K) and echo one another a lot. If one laughs so does the other one. They are truly two peas in a pod and I pray that they are always close!
*He signs dog, more, eat, help, please, sorry (with help), and done
*He says Daddy, Mommy, teeth, please, down, go, eye, help, no, and something that sounds like K
*He can get up and down on the couch and is super pleased with himself about this
*He is drinking soy milk in our attempt to wean him from his bottle by the end of the year (He is still somewhat lactose intolerant)
*He stands at the fridge and yells until someone opens it for him for his water cup
*He rocks back and forth in slow motion with his whole upper body to communicate 'yes', it's adorable
*Just last week he said 'woof' when we asked him what a dog says
*He knows where his eyes are and we are working on nose and ears
*He continues to love to play with and chew on shoes
*He is fascinated by the garbage can and any type of remote control
*He is the baby love of our life!
*K is a chatterbox! She is saying 2-3 word sentences and has at least 50 words in her vocabulary.
*She is a helper, and loves to be given tasks to do
*Nursery at church is one of her favorite places to go. She doesn't cry, but runs down the hall to see her friends.
*She still doesn't like breakfast but continues to want to drink milk all day every day
*She chose a stuffed zebra at the store recently to spend some of her birthday money on. He has joined her three babydolls as part of the nighttime crib crew.
*Quite often she says what emotion she is feeling instead of acting it out. For example she will say 'crying' when she feels sad, or 'happy' when she is happy. She says 'laughing' too and then she giggles a bunch.
*She is all about her hair and her clips. She knows the routines of the day and insists that we do them in order. She knows when she wakes up we change her diaper, put on her clothes, brush her teeth and comb her hair. If we do them out of order she will say something. Same for the nighttime routine.
*She knows how to put on her socks and take them off. She also puts on her shoes, and we are working on getting them on the right feet.
*When she doesn't do something right she says, 'miss' and then happily tries again. If I drop something she says 'miss' to me too. She has such a positive attitude.
*She can identify uppercase A and yells 'A!!!" when she sees it. Then she wants a high five. Even when I'm driving.
*She is working on her colors and knows several of them, although she likes to tease and say 'blue' first before she corrects herself. She must love blue.
*She is the sweet little girl of our dreams!
We just adore these kiddos and feel so blessed to be able to help them grow and learn. Words can hardly express our feelings for them. They are incredible!
