| Check out these pigtails! |
*She really loves black olives! We were at a friend's house last weekend, and she couldn't get enough of them. We made our spanish rice this week and she also enjoyed that, it's just a tad spicy so this one really surprised me. She didn't like the chicken fried rice we made though, she just picked out the peas. :)
*She has added 'cat', 'candy', 'sorry', 'thank you', 'fish', 'baby', 'cheese' and 'help' to her signing abilities.
*She also now says, 'help', 'try', 'boo' (for peek a boo), 'one more', 'phone', 'k' (for ok) and 'Ma' for Emma (I'm Mama or Mom). We just loves how she says 'yea' instead of 'yes'.
*She says, 'mmmmm' when she is really enjoying a food, or wants to try something we have. She also licks her lips and sticks her tongue way out if she wants to try something we have, it's so cute!
*She continues to love being outside. She likes to throw a ball in the yard, pick grass clippings up off the sidewalk, and hold/blow dandelions, as well as dash across the yard as fast as she can. Daddy is going to build a fence this summer so that we can spend a lot of time outside.
*K is really helpful with T. If he is crying she will bring him a toy or try to put his binkie in. She has also wanted to hold him a lot more recently. She sits on the floor with her legs and arms out just waiting for him. She says 'uh-oh' when he's crying too.
*She loves her baby doll and mimics what I'm doing with T with her baby. This will be a separate post on it's own.
*This week at Costco we sampled mini-cheese and chicken tacos which I didn't think she would even try. She ate two whole samples and kept signing, "more". We bought a box.
*K, who hardly eats any meat whatsoever, ate more than half of a Costco hot dog, sans bun. I took a picture of it just so that Andy would believe me. She was using two forks at the same time, one in each hand, to shovel in the pieces.
*She asks every morning where everyone is. "Daa?' "Nana?" etc.
*We have been watching Sesame Street this week, and she has been talking about Elmo and asks where he is in the morning too. (btw, Andy & I recently watched Being Elmo on Netflix and really enjoyed it! It's about the puppeteer behind Elmo. It's inspiring to see someone with that much passion.)
*This week we started putting K's hair into little pigtails, she looks even more adorable! She keeps the elastics in for most of day, but try a clip and she pulls it out in two seconds. I'm on the hunt for some headbands.
*A couple of days ago she held her pointer finger up to me in the car and said 'one more' in a request to hear Old MacDonald again. Guess we say that a bunch.
Oh K, we love you so very much! We are so blessed because you came to our home.
| Eating cereal & applesauce in the morning, it's always a favorite. |
*He is rolling everywhere to get a toy he wants. He especially goes for K's plastic picnic basket that talks and sings. He likes to bat the thing open and dig out the large plastic foods to drool and chew on.
*He has began to scoot up on his knees when he is having tummy time.
*He loves to be held and cuddled as always. I hope this never changes.
*T has become quite the wiggle worm when changing his diapers. Sometimes I feel like I'm losing in the WWF with him. He is usually trying to turn over onto his belly to look for K most of the time.
*The smiles rock our world. He is such a happy kiddo 99% of the time.
*He strongly dislikes having his face wiped or his clothes changed.
*He loves his sister dearly. He looks for her constantly, smiles when he hears her, and becomes very vocal when she is 'singing/screaming' anywhere in the room.
*He can and will fall asleep on any car ride, no matter the length of the ride. My parents live 1.2 miles away and he has fallen asleep in that short distance more than once!
*As far as eating goes, we've added squash to his diet (he is not a fan), bananas (is a HUGE FAN), applesauce (also a big fan) and prunes (that one was necessary). He is getting much better at eating off a spoon and opens his mouth SO WIDE to let the food in, he looks like a crocodile with two itty bitty teeth.
*Have I mentioned the drool? He has a bib on at all times to help with moisture. He can go through more than one in a day. Those front top teeth are on their way!
*He has started to bring his feet to his mouth, which is usually cute unless I'm feeding him. Cereal covered toes are messy!
*He can pick up a toy and move it from hand to hand. He usually wants whatever toy K has.
Mr. T, You are one incredible little boy who we feel so lucky to have. We love you!
