zingle

Zingle, our Elf on the Shelf, arrived after Thanksgiving.  He brought a book that we read to K & T one family home evening.  As the book suggests, we were to give him a name and look for him each morning.  After a small debate between Jingle & Zoink, K & T settled on Zingle, a compromise of the two names.  Each morning Zingle has kept his promise and has hidden in a new spot.  At night he returns to the North Pole to share his behavior report about K & T.  We've had a couple of rough patches, but that's to be expected with siblings who are independent people with their own ideas. Hopefully Santa understands.   :)

Looking for Zingle has been fun, and the kids have enjoyed the search each day.  I've taken a few pictures of Zingle's hiding spots.  He seems to be a tame elf compared to some elves I've seen partying it up with Barbie or fishing in the toilet on facebook.  Thank goodness, we don't need any more silly antics around here!

Hiding on our mantle.
Snitching a snack?
Perhaps he saw a light out.
Catching a ride
Planking
After a rough patch the previous day, Zingle left a note to be good, and held T's sword!
Reading scriptures.
Candy cane games
Just keeping an eye on the neighborhood.
Hanging out with his pal, Joey.
Sharing deep thoughts with reindeer.
Look, it's a parade!
Watching netflix with a few friends.
Orange you glad to see me?
Looking in his element.

Zingle returned to the North Pole on Christmas Eve night to help Santa, but we certainly hope he comes to visit us again next year!
