O is for Outside Day

We had many beautiful days this summer, full of warmth and sun.  On one of these days we decided to be outside for as much as possible to celebrate the letter O.  There weren't any complaints from K & T (who really don't complain anyway) because they truly enjoy being outside.  So, here goes O for Outside, one of their favorite places to be.
A bike ride is always a popular choice for these two.  They are quick on these bikes.
Headed down the street.
T usually takes the lead.

We headed down to our friends' home, where K & T's friends had set up a lemonade stand for the day.
They had these chairs set up for customers, and K & T were more than happy to oblige as they enjoyed their snacks.
Back home, we worked in the garden for awhile.  I love these daises, they remind me so much of my sister Jenny.  They were some of her favorites.
Our helpers.
K picked some of our grape tomatoes, one of her favorite snacks.  She eats them like candy!
Mr. T is quite a worm finder thanks to his Nana.  He has no fear of them, and loves to carry them around.

Just playing around outside.
Catching balls that they threw to one another.
Andy mowed the yard while the kids played, and I weeded my container plants.
After the yard chores were done, we headed over to our friend's pool for another outstanding outdoor activity, swimming!
K & T love to play in this little pool, they are getting really good at putting their faces in the water, and blowing bubbles.
It was great to have Andy with us for O day, he is usually at work when we go to the pool.
Fun in the Sun!

She is a mermaid in the water.  And she will tell you so.  :)
Since Andy was with me, we decided to give the big pool at try.  We put the kids' puddle jumpers on (life jackets) and gave it a whirl.  They did great!
K kicked and kicked herself all around the pool.
Enjoying having Daddy with us.
These two are best friends.  T adores his Daddy, and was super happy to show him his pool tricks.
After a bit, he was all over the pool too.  What a difference a year makes!
This picture sums up our day perfectly.  Warm. Family. Fun.
O is for Outside Day.  It was an outstanding one!
