early gifts

We always love when Aunt Sarah visits.  She is so much fun to be around!  In December she came for a weekend visit and the kids had a ball spending time with her.  Before she left, Sarah gave the gifts both she & Uncle Miguel chose so carefully for the kids and boy-oh-boy do they love it.  I snapped some pictures of our early Christmas.

T went first and quickly unwrapped his gift.

Then K went.  They weren't quite sure what to think....

So they kept opening with the promise that Daddy would show them what they got in a few minutes. (The kids also rec'd a bunch of  Disney sing  along videos that they have since watched/danced to/sung with over & over).

Daddy came through and showed them...it's kids' headphones!  What I love about them is the volume control.  No matter how loud the kids' try to turn them up, they stay at a safe volume to protect the kids' ears. T really liked his blue ones. (He refers to these as his microphones).

Aunt Sarah plugged them into the ipad to test them out.

Cousin B sent cute sock monkey ornaments for the kids too.

K & T love their new technology.  In fact, we've had to institute a weekend only policy for the headphones, otherwise I think they would wear them all day when they are playing.  I like to hear what they are listening to/playing on the ipad, and I can't hear a thing when they have them on.   :)  Thank you Aunt Sarah & Uncle Miguel for such fabulous gifts!

Just a little bonus picture, one evening this guy was cuddled up to this stuffed snowman watching a cartoon in the dark.  It's moments like this that he seems so grown up to me!
