Christmas Countdown

A few years ago I read a great idea on one of my favorite blogs, and an idea was born... a Christmas Countdown with books!  I've been doing it in my classroom ever since, and I've been so excited to begin this tradition with K & T.  We began on Sunday night and will end on Christmas Eve with the Nativity story from Matthew, I'll wrap up my Bible for them to open.  It was K's turn to open a book tonight, and boy was she excited.  She talked about it all the way up the stairs, throughout bath time, and while I was drying her hair at the end of our evening.  After baths, they both snuggled into our bed for the story, and just looked extra cute tonight checking out the new book while K was unwrapping.  I just had to take a few pics!  I love this time of year, but I especially love these two who are making Christmas so much more fun.
