Golden Springtime

What a wonderful, incredible & awesome miracle that has happened for our family!  There is simply no other way to describe having K & T come to our home, we are feeling so very, very blessed.  We are starting this blog as a way to document the happenings of these babies as they grow, play, learn, live, love & laugh with us.

There aren't enough words of thanks to give to their birth family.  We are grateful for them everyday.  Although we haven't met them, we know that they love these kiddos very much, and that they are true heroes for putting the needs and their wishes for the children above their own desires. Thank you, thank you, thank you dear birth family.  You have changed the lives of us all forever, for the better! We will remember you &
talk about you always with K & T.

We must also give thanks & praise to the foster family who loved & cared for K & T as their very own.  They have given them an awesome start & will have always played a role in who these children turn out to be.  Thank you!

It takes a lot of faith to be in the adoption process.  Over the years we have prayed that we would have the opportunity to be parents.  After our failed placement in August of 2011, I felt unsure of everything except my faith.  The children's primary song, "On a Golden Springtime" ran through my head a lot over the past few months as I tried to deal with my feelings. I thought an adoption would eventually happen for us, & I prayed every day that it would.  But I never thought two babies at once. How good the Lord is! K & T are absolutely perfect & absolutely perfect for us in every way!

The first two verses of this song read:

On a golden springtime, underneath the ground,
A tiny seedling lay asleep until the sun shone down.
Awake, awake, O little seed! Push upward to the light!
The day is bright, With all your might, push upward to the light!

On a golden springtime, Jesus Christ awoke,
And left the tomb where he had lain; the bands of death he broke.
Awake, awake, O sleeping world! Look upward to the light.
For now all men may live again. Look upward to the light!

Like the little seed that began so small and grows into something beautiful, we need to have faith in the Lord and continue to push onward and upward  to become something beautiful.  Only He knows His plan, and we need to continue to have faith that He knows best.  We know there are many bright days ahead for us all, and K & T will always be a personal miracle in our lives!  We are so glad and grateful K & T are here and look forward to our many adventures together!

These pictures are from our first meeting with K & T at the foster family's home.  It was hard to say goodbye that day, but we knew that they would be coming home soon!
