Every year I think how quickly K is growing up, and this year was the fastest ever. K is a great student, has lots of interests, and she gives her heart to everything she does. She is in 8th grade, and was recently inducted into the National Junior Honor Society for her good grades, advanced classes & strong character. She takes piano lessons, takes horseback riding lessons, and is in the show choir and swim team for her school. On top of that she serves as the secretary for her Young Women's organization at church, and attends youth meetings weekly too. She is busy! When she does have free time, she likes to paint, draw, hang out with her friends, and is always reading a couple of books at a time. K loves good snacks, especially anything with peanut butter or ice cream.
This summer was a busy one for K, she wanted to go to a show choir camp at a college that was a few hours away from us. She loved being on campus finding her way around, eating at the college cafeteria, and really enjoyed the dance and vocal classes she went to. It was amazing to see what she and her group learned in just a week's time. K also attended FSY for our church at a different college for a week, and blossomed there too. She loves to be independent, and makes usually makes good decisions on her own. On top of those experiences, she also went to Young Women's camp, we vacationed in Florida and spent some time at a lakehouse with friends. She was living out of a suitcase for most of the summer and didn't complain a bit.
K is quiet and loud. She's a thinker, and loves to laugh. She gets silly with her friends. She is just everything one would want a daughter to be. We are so proud of her. She is kind, sassy, loyal, smart and has a fun sense of humor. She sometimes has a hard time finding things if she's sent to get something, and she loves to wear mismatched socks. She has always been a good sleeper, and thoroughly enjoys a good nap. She is looking forward to high school, and driving. She reminded us today that she can get her temps in a year and a half. Wow. Slow down time! Here are some pictures from the past few months of our girl.

| She is a beautiful soul, inside & out. She loves playing around with her make up and hair, she's quite good at it. |

| This fall she got to go to Washington DC on a school trip. She loved this experience too. Her favorite things to see were the Lincoln Memorial at night, and the Hamilton jacket Lin-Manuel Miranda wore in the musical, in the American History museum. |
