It's hard to imagine our life without the kids, but it's equally hard to imagine life without Andy. He is our rock. We all love it when Daddy comes home each day after work, the kids still run to the door to greet him. Andy is great at so many things. He's quick to say I love you, he teases, he will do any household chore, he's a wonderful cook, he plays, he works hard, he is kind and is very, very patient. We were married for 16 years before the kids came into our lives, and I cannot describe the support and love Andy showed to me on our bumpy and long journey to become parents. He is the person I dreamed of parenting with. Sure we have some ups and downs, but I know we are in this together, and finding more joy in it than I could ever could have imagined. Just today we were talking with the kids about the windows of heaven that opened up for us when we adopted them. Life has never been so busy, so fun, so full of work, and oh so happy. Happy Father's Day Andy!
I asked the kids what they loved about their Daddy at bedtime tonight.
K says: I love to play legos with Daddy. I like when he's silly, I love my Daddy.
T says: I like to play Mario with Daddy. I like to play Frisbee outside. I like to mow with him. He is Greatest Dad Ever.
