golden springtime: a valentine tea

K & I spent a lovely afternoon at a Mommy & Me valentine event with our dear friends Jen & her daughter H a couple of weeks ago. The day celebrated all things girly & pink! It was really enjoyable watching K & H get their nails done, play games, & giggle with each other. Of course I loved spending the time with Jen as well. Friends are just good for the soul. We snapped lots of pictures to keep these memories forever. What a grand time we had!

K loved putting her hat together and is learning the art of not putting every.single.available.plastic.flower on it at once. :)

Soon it was time for lunch. Sweet stations were set up all over the place. This was a cookie bar for the chocolate fountain.

I'd eat lunch with these gal pals every day if I could!

This crazy pole was at the end of our table, right in the middle of our seats. Jen & I found a way to make it work.

After lunch, the princesses came out to sing and to meet the girls. We went back upstairs to get a better view.

They are actually really good singers. K & H couldn't get enough!

The girls played a few games with their remaining tickets. K won a bracelet here, andd wanted to get a blue sucker for T. So thoughtful of her.

K wanted to try out the sand art this year, she chose a bear necklace that she filled with pink and purple sand.

She punched for prizes too.

One last game, a tea cup toss.

This was one of K's favorite spots, the candy barre. The girls filled up boxes with all kinds of sweet treats!

She really doesn't like a lot of candy, but she loves all things pink!

Rather than buy a lot of raffle tickets this year, I opted to get a bear for K. He was a sure thing, and she was over the moon.

Last stop, the fashion show! All of the girls have the opportunity to walk the runway, and meet Prince Charming and the Princesses. Each girls' name is read, along with their age and the school they go too. Last year we didn't do this part, but K wanted to try it this year.
