On Our Walk Tonight

I think we all know that K & T really enjoy being outdoors.  We try to take them on as many walks as possible, especially because they both do so well in the stroller.  Lately, we've been taking our walks just before bedtime and we have seen a lot of wildlife around the neighborhood while we are out.  I grabbed the camera to take along with us tonight just for kicks.

Dog in hand ready to roll!

Let's go already!

We're leaving our driveway headed down the street.  This summer we found a toad in our grass, just where the stroller is.

K started to play with "Tramp" right away.  She had little conversations with him throughout our walk.

Showing Tramp a 'chee' (tree).
Whenever we walk past long grasses or trees that are close to the sidewalk, K reaches out her hand to touch them and says 'got it'.  Even if she missed. :)  Tramp got his turn tonight.

T usually keeps his hands in.  Perhaps he's too busy taking his socks off.

I stopped for a second to see what he was doing.  This is what I saw.  Isn't he adorable?!?

Then he started to wave and say 'hi' really loud.  Can you hear it?

We're almost at the end of the road, we're on the hunt for ...
Turkeys!  Of course they weren't here tonight, but we usually see the family of five wild turkeys eating in this grass.  One of the turkeys has a hurt leg and kinda hobbles around.  They really do say 'gobble, gobble' too!

I love this ornamental grass that our neighbors have, it's super cool.

See the black cat behind the fence?  K saw it!

K talked to me pretty much the entire walk, mostly about what she saw.  Whenever we come to a part in the sidewalk that looks like this, she says 'bumpy' and 'more' when we cross over.  Guess she likes it.

Say it with K, 'got it'.

This dog lives down the street and barked at us when we when past.

T noticed and looked in the dog's direction.

Then we really started to see some animals, see the deer?

There's another one.

Better check the kids to make sure they're doing ok, they are!

More deer.  They were chasing each other.

Smile T, we're almost home.

Whenever we see a basketball post K says, 'ball, ball' and signs it.

More bumps. They are always popular.

K has also started to look up...she noticed the plane and the moon.  Good eyes!

More 'chees', (trees).

...And we're home.  Ok kiddos, it's bathtime, we had a great night!
