Thanksgiving

Soooooooooo, I had a major malfunction with our memory card that had THOUSANDS of photos on it a couple of weeks ago, thus, no blogging for a bit.  Luckily, Andy was able to recover everything (I married so well), and I hope we are back in business.  Here is a glimpse into our Thanksgiving break.
On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving we met up with Nana, N, A, Auntie Em, Aunt Shelley & S at the zoo for a fun morning.  The weather was beautiful, and we had a great time watching the animals and seeing what the kids remembered from the summer.

The zoo was all decked out for the holidays, so pretty.
The kids had a blast being together.  K loved walking around holding N's hand.
Mr. T is always ready for a good walk and some stroller time.
Mama giraffe and her baby.
Penguins running away from us.
A little play break in the Children's Zoo.
Nana & T are best buds.  He just started calling her 'Nannie'.
It's no trip to the zoo without a train ride!  K loves them.
The crew.
After the train, we watched as  the polar bear came out to sun himself.
The morning ended with a picnic lunch and a visit from a housecat who chose to come a little to close to K.  "Get you, get you" she started yelling.  Aunt Shelley came to the rescue and shooed it away. K talked about that one moment for quite a few days.   Thanks for such a great trip to the zoo dear family!
We took it easy and just played at home the morning of Thanksgiving.  Cars are always a popular game with both K & T.  They both know how to pull the cars back to make them go.  They are so smart!

Here's K getting ready to be the 'bridge' that we can send the cars through.

It's Daddy's turn!  T brings Daddy a car.

Taking a break in the action.

We went to Nana & Papa's (my parents) home for Thanksgiving dinner this year.  It was just so touching to be sitting as a family and having K & T with us.  They have simply completed us.  The holiday brought out those tender feelings of the love that we feel from both heaven and earth.   We can hardly remember our lives without them, and are so, so, so grateful that they are now a permanent part of us forever.

Here we are getting ready for K & T's first Thanksgiving with us.  We love our family!

After dinner there was lots of time for playing.  T loves to get into Nana's drawers like he does at our house.  (Don't mind the lip injury.  He had recently fallen and bit his lip.  It looks worse than it was.  His constant binky use made it a little difficult to heal, but it's all better now.)

Everyone ended up on the couch with Papa watching Mickey Mouse Club of course.  Don't you just love that look on my dad's face?  He sure loves his grandkids.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
